Mike Balmforth, Chair of Trustees
Edward, known as Mike, is now retired from a career in international marketing and general management in multi-national companies. He has lived and worked in Europe and the USA. A father of 3 children and seven grandchildren he believes every child should have a happy childhood and wants to see the charity and its valuable work with families properly funded and able to deliver to as many families as possible. Michael was a member of the Institute of Directors for 20 years and lives in Midhurst with his wife Susan. He enjoys Rotary, archery, golf and keeping his Swedish and Spanish language knowledge active.
Louise Webb, Trustee
Louise is a psychotherapist and has been running her private practice for 18 years. She also supervises other professional psychotherapists both privately and for the NHS. Both psychotherapy and her previous career as a documentary film-maker (committed to themes around human rights) foster her belief that, through raising an individual's awareness, their quality of life can be improved, as well as that of those around them. She believes INTERIM will support her commitment to this cause.
Juliette Gafsen, Trustee
Juliette qualified as a psychotherapist 10 years ago, and has been practicing privately in north-west London. Following significant changes in her life she is in the process of creating a food start-up business with her sister-in-law. Juliette is excited by this new challenge and feels the experience will be of value to her role as a Trustee of INTERIM, in that she is embarking on a new journey, unsure of the outcome. She has been a single mother of four for many years and enjoys spending time with her now ‘grown up’ children.
Linzi Swindon,Trustee
Linzi is a proud mum to two boys, accompanied by two lively labradoodles. As a mixed media artist, she explores creativity in various forms. Linzi has been a Listening Volunteer with The Samaritan's for over 4 years. She is also on a journey, training to become a counsellor and absolutely supports the values, aims and objectives of INTERIM.
Sally Floyd, Chief Executive Officer
Sally is a qualified and registered psychotherapist and counsellor working with INTERIM. She has an extensive social work history in a variety of safeguarding practitioner and management positions within local authority social services and the independent residential and community care sector, working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. Sally is a published author and Justice of the Peace, with a keen interest in empowering others to live freely and safe from harm. Being so personally involved in the charity, she feels moved to ensure INTERIM’s objectives are meaningfully delivered.
INTERIM has a comprehensive set of policies and procedures that together provide the safeguards governing the Charity, giving direction and guidance so everyone is able to participate fully in the work we do.
